First Try at it!

Growing up I spend most of my time playing in the dirt and using my hands. So as I matured , I tended to gravitate towards jobs and careers that involved me using my hands.

What a more perfect fit for a man that works with his hands then a trusted truck! Unfortunately I still work with my hands but the trusted truck I have not gotten yet! Oh sure I have a truck that I use for work , but the only trust I have in it, is it not to start!

When it was time to pick out a truck, I was not a informed customer. Yet a customer that wanted looks and thought all trucks were the same under the hood. HA ! As my title says, I did pick out a Ford! Ford F350 crew cab long box lariat , FX4 diesel to be exact! What does that mean , well lets break it down. First word FORD....means a truck that won't start and a company that will not stand behind it's product. The rest rest is fluff and filler! Yes that is right the best looking truck out there in my eyes, is one that does not work. I guess it holds true looks are not everything!

I mean a company that knows all of the problems with their trucks. As to go as far a suing the manufacture of the engine because of the problems. Then turning around and sticking it to all their new and loyal customers because they want a big fat bonus!! Wow Ford is not in the same boat as GM for need of a bail out! Come on now , if they stood behind their product I am sure there would be no bonuses and Alan Mulally would be on the White House lawn begging like GM did.

Well enough of this today I am sure, I know my truck is not going anywhere! Please Follow me and my Twitter@myfordsucks.

  1. I bought a 2016 Ford Explorer XLT in March of 2016. I started having intermittent electrical issues within the first week. These issues included loss of communication between the car and the keyfob, cycling of door locks multiple climate control issues and more. Since this model has keyless entry and ignition this totally immobilizes the security and ignition systems. The car comes with an emergency key that will unlock the driver's door (but sets off the alarm). However, there is no backup for the ignition, so there is no way to start the car, stranding me until communication is restored.

I'm told the dealership can't repair anything under warranty without getting a code from the computer. The only issue of the above that they were able to get a code on (after the second time I left the vehicle with them for over a week) was the locks. The computer told them there was a faulty latch, which they replaced. When I got home that day and locked the doors the locks cycled 21 times.

I have had to deal with 4 Ford Regional Customer Service Managers. The first one just stopped returning my emails and phone calls. The second would only say keep bringing it back to the dealer. She finally closed my case without having any sort of a resolution. At that point I called to talk to a supervisor. She told me she couldn't help me since I was already working with #2. I finally got another RCSM. She turned out to be a carbon copy of #2.

To this day, none of these issues have been repaired. I have given up on getting anything fixed that does not make the vehicle totally unusable and am just waiting for my lawsuit to get finalized.
